I study Software Engineering at HZ University of Applied Sciences in Vlissingen and I’m currently on an Erasmus+ semester at Universidad Francisco de Vitoria in Madrid, working in English and Spanish.
My favourite problems are the boring ones: hours of copy-paste, spreadsheets nobody wants to update, data scattered across a dozen websites. I turn them into tools that run on their own — and document them so others can use them too.

A Python desktop app that scrapes every Ticketmaster event in a chosen country, converts prices to EUR, matches each event on resale markets, adds sales volume and demand data, and calculates expected ROI. It also has a spreadsheet-style CSV editor (undo, Excel paste, conditional formatting) and a full MkDocs user guide.
Built for IVN to get teachers and parents involved in green, sustainable schoolyards. Teachers find outdoor nature lessons filtered by season, subject and difficulty, save favourites and schedule them into day plans. Under the hood: Dockerized Node.js microservices behind an API gateway, each with its own MariaDB schema and JWT auth, plus a SvelteKit frontend with a Gemini AI assistant.
An internal well-being platform for Syntess employees: daily mood check-ins, a private diary, goals and challenges, plus gamification with XP, badges, leaderboards and a banner shop. HR can publish wellness articles and see anonymised engagement, and “Capy”, a Gemini-powered companion, chats with employees based on their mood.
Where and when does Atlantic herring show up along the Dutch coast? We merged species observations with KNMI weather data (matched to the nearest station) and CBS ecosystem maps, examined seasonal, location and observer bias, then trained baseline and improved classification and regression models, up to random forests and gradient boosting.
A 2D game that teaches kids how solar panels work. Sustania’s power plant is broken: players explore the map, collect wires, a battery, frame, glass and solar cells, learn what each part does from the mayor, then unlock the crafting table and pass his quiz. Written in object-oriented TypeScript on HTML Canvas and deployed to GitHub Pages.
Connects to Gmail over IMAP, finds order confirmations in English, German and Spanish, pulls out the artist, event date and purchase date, then renders each email to a neatly named PDF with headless Chromium. Companion scripts reconcile resale sales and payouts.
Surprise day trips from Madrid for groups of friends: zero planning, one fixed price, and the destination stays sealed until 48 hours before departure. A scroll-driven landing page that sells the idea in four taps.

Work, study and everything in between — from VR arcades in Bratislava to a warehouse in the Netherlands and a dev job automating ticket markets.

Designing and building Python tools that automate slow manual work. Built an app that collects and processes event and ticket data from web sources across Europe and the UK — external APIs, data cleaning and code managed on GitHub.

HZ University of Applied Sciences
Web apps for real clients such as IVN (GreenClues) and Syntess Software (Vitality), in PHP (Laravel), Node.js, TypeScript and Svelte, built in Agile/Scrum sprints with new teammates each time. Client interviews and requirements gathering, database design (MySQL, PostgreSQL), hosting on AWS, Railway and Azure, and detailed documentation throughout every sprint.
